Before and After Spray Tan Prep and Care Instructions
Before
- Exfoliate skin well day before tan. Focus on elbows and knees.
- Do all shaving and waxing hours before tan
- No lotions, oils or makeup on skin day of tan
- Manicure or Pedicures do 24 hours before tan
- Bottoms are required for tan, tops (bras or bikini tops) optional
After
- Bring lose fitting clothes as well as open toe shoes for after tan
- Do not get skin wet anywhere while developing
- No working out or sweating until after first shower
- First shower times vary, will discuss at your appointment.
- First shower is water only. Do a quick rinse of the bronzer, no soap and don’t wash your hair.
- After first shower, the more your skin is hydrated, the longer your tan will last. I sell a tanning extender lotion that works great for extending your tan!

Spray Tanning FAQs
How long does a spray tan last?
10-14 days depending on your skin. The more you keep your skin hydrated, the longer it will last. Staying out of water for long periods of time will also allow the tan to last longer.
Can I get Sunburned still while having a spray tan?
Absolutely! The tanning solution does not have SPF in it so you need to make sure you still apply your SPF.
What is a CBD tan?
A CBD additive (THC free) is added to your solution. This CBD will help with pain management throughout the body. It will also help with uneven skin textures so your tan will go on smoothly and last a little longer than a traditional spray tan.
How many days before an event should I tan?
The best day of your tan will be day 2 or 3 so I suggest tanning in that time frame. If you have an event on a Saturday, tanning Wednesday or Thursday night is best.
How long does the tan need to process?
Typical tanning processing time is typically 12 hours. Everyone’s needs and wants for their tan are different so I will predict your first shower off of your needs. We will discuss this at your appointment. If you need a quicker processing time, I have an express that takes 4 hours, giving the same amazing results.
